Nine invites marketers to their pop up store.

A division of broadcast heavyweight Nine has launched a pop up shop in Paddington – but it’s not open to just anyone walking by…. Between 18th to 29th June, Nine will “host an estimated 400-500 visitors for a series of events, workshops, research studies and guest speaker sessions”#

The pop up store is aimed at attracting marketers to the various promotional and strategic options offered by Nine – via their 9Powered arm (Nine’s strategic solutions division). Sessions will focus on helping “clients find strategic solutions for their problems and have ‘meaningful outcomes’…”*

The Big Ideas Store at 17 Oxford Street will “also give marketers the opportunity to create their own integrated piece of branded content, as part of a hands on session”*

Inside the store – “hidden behind a shopfront”# –  are “different Nine-branded goods such as Love Island and Wide World of Sports drinks”# and a workspace for presentations and sessions.

Oddly (for such a focused market) it seems anyone can register for the pop-up, via The Big Ideas Store site…. ‘though I’d imagine places are limited (some of the sessions are already waitlisted). It also seems a little strange they’d take space on one of Sydney’s premier shopping strips… but limit access to registered guests and hide the event from prying eyes !
