DI-LIA pops up in central Melbourne
Impressive label, in an impressive space !
Anyone with experience doing “pop up” knows it isn’t easy finding a decent location… it can take a lot of effort and scouting (and some good connections) to secure the right property. And so I’m pretty impressed with the space this brand found within Melbourne’s CBD… a street-level corner frontage, with good potential for foot traffic (city shoppers will recall this was previously T2 – all kinds of tea and paraphernalia. I’ve sourced many birthday and Christmas gifts in that same space…). It now features a contemporary and stylish interior…the pillar-box-red pillar catches your eye !
Designer fashion label DI-LIA opened this pop-up shop on Little Collins Street a couple of weeks ago – they’ll be there just until the end of January. The store features their entire range… classic garments fused in unorthodox fabrics and textures. DI-LIA has had a pretty busy year – featured in several blogs and magazines, dressing their editors and appearing around town during MSFW in September. The range (“women’s wear that is unique and carefully refined”) is designed by Melbourne local Dilia Ew, and made here too (yay !)
