Heineken pop up bar at the Australian Open tennis
A short while ago… but who’s seen the video of how it came together ?
As an official partner at the first Grand Slam event on the tennis calendar, beer brand Heineken has a major presence at the Australian Open each year – and January 2015 was no different. The Heineken Beer Garden was a focal point for some serious summer relaxation and socializing, especially on the middle Saturday of the tennis tournament… “Heineken Saturday at the Australian Open” is a pretty big event, featuring local and international music bands and DJ’s, free hats… and loads of cool beverages !
Overlooking the seething mass on Grand Slam Oval this year was a large pop up structure – housing a wide public bar, nestled under a corporate-style hospitality suite (all of it serving long, cold Heinekens… no doubt !) Twelve large Spacecube units had been joined together to form the building carcase, installed by local event guru’s Harry the hirer, designed and managed by Momentum Worldwide.
This time-lapse video on You Tube shows the container-style Spacecube structures being hoisted into place, and also interior images of the upstairs Terrace Bar fitout.
Nice pop-up !
