Melbourne makers unite (pop up) again
The Make It Collective returns to Northcote.
Late last year (October to December) one of our published locations was home to a pop up shop featuring local handicrafts – The Snug at 447 High Street Northcote hosted a variety of artisans, makers and designers, under the banner of The Make It Collective.
The Make It Collective say they aim “to create a unique shopping experience by providing handmade products in our online shop and at our regular market stalls at different markets around Melbourne (and)… just for fun we love to ‘pop up’ in random places”* The Make It Collective offers unique “artisan designed, ethically made” art pieces, homewares, fashion, accessories, children’s wear and more… no mass produced items !”
And they’ve just brought their makers together again in a second pop up shop…
“I love to help Melbourne makers find new ways to sell their handmade goods” says Kelli Vizzari, founder of The Make It Collective… “Our first pop up shop in Northcote was a huge success” – and the current one is also “a bit crazy”.
And it seems their High Street location might’ve been sourced with the another of our popUPshops Melbourne favorites… The Make It Collective Pop Up Shop press release offers special thanks to the City of Darebin and their Active Spaces program !
